The Black Death World Map
THE ORIGINS OF THE PLAGUE
The origins of the plague are contested(arguable), while the actually origins are not defined or definite. There are two main origins that stand out, each having archaeological evidence and entries to prove their theory. Although the Black Death origins sparked controversy. They also have very little knowledge on the conditions of the start and end of the initial plague.
The most theorized and backed up are that, the plague originated in China, spreading via The Silk Road, the theory tells the reader, the plague disease developed on a ship containing black rats whom were housing fleas infected by the plague. This is also backed-up by journals/diaries and also evidence on graves and trenches for the mass burial of the many deaths occurring everyday.
Another origin of the plague is that the page started in Egypt spreading upwards and infecting people throughout upper Africa. This theory is supported and was created by an expert in diseases Prof. Wu Hou. He created this theory to explain the mass amounts of buried bodies in Pelusium, Egypt. This theory is now published in the book: Journal of Bio-geography.
