How The Plague was Treated
The plague firstly was treated by doctors whom had little to none medical knowledge, which led to weird concoctions of poop, dried herbs and water etc. Also family members were abandoned in a dark room to little to no food. People moved to other towns hoping to outrun the plague, also some people shut themselves inside their houses hoping not to contract the plague.
Doctors wore long clothing hoping to protect themselves from the plague, they also had a bird-like helmet, with the nose filled with dried flowers or herbs. People also cut themselves, when they were infected hoping to survive the plague. They had ceremonies hitting themselves and sacrificing babies, hoping to ward off the plague. People also accused Jews, saying they had poisoned the water and that's how the plague was contracted.
